Rebuilding Together of South Lake County Assists Those in Need

As a nonprofit organization serving south Lake County, we're dedicated to making free repairs and modifications for low income homeowners including persons living with disabilities, seniors and veterans in need.

At no cost to the recipients, our volunteers have insulated attics, replaced windows, built handicap ramps, painted and otherwise repaired and upgraded the homes of nearly 100 homeowners in Lowell, Merrillville, Cedar Lake and Crown Point, Indiana.

Crumbling concrete steps. Leaking roofs. Substandard electrical wiring. Dingy paint. While some home repairs are cosmetic, other upgrades ensure the well-being of the senior citizens, disabled individuals, single parent families, and military veterans who live there.
